Position Overview and Responsibilities

• Providing daily janitorial duties within the health centre including but not limited to floors, counter tops, hallways, examining rooms and equipment.
• Providing a thorough cleaning of the above every three months.
• Maintaining a neat and tidy workplace and storage areas.
• Disposing of all garbage in a safe and efficient manner according to approved standards as determined by the PAGC-EHO and in accordance with the community’s garbage pick-up.
• Performing janitorial duties utilizing appropriate safety measures at all times including measures to ensure safety of the patients and staff.
• Providing safe storage and utilization of janitorial supplies in accordance with manufactures’ recommended usage.
• Maintaining an adequate inventory of janitorial supplies and ordering efficiently to ensure a minimum amount of supplies are on hand to meet the janitorial needs of the health centre.
• Providing janitorial/cleaning duties to the visitor accommodations on a regular basis determined by the usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10
• Must have demonstrated ability to work well with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in and complete required training
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
• Positive role model
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Ability to speak Cree and asset
• Current Satisfactory Criminal Record Clearance & Vulnerable Sector Check;
