Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Health Services is an incorporated non-profit First Nations health organization delivering health programs in the communities of Pelican Narrows, Deschambault Lake, Southend and Sturgeon Landing. Position Overview and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Health Director, the Elder Coordinator/Home Living Assistant is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of holistic health programs and services to promote healthy lifestyles for the Elders of the community. The Elder Coordinator is responsible for working within the health team to promote and enhance the health programs and services provided at the Health Centre. The Home Living Assistant is to provide services which contribute to the safety and comfort of the client based on assessed needs. The goal is to promote the clients ability to live independently in their own home.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
  • Highly organized with ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects;
  • Must have an interest and ability to participate in recreational activities;
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to speak Cree is an asset;
  • A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is required
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Sector Check.

Salary: Depending on Education & Experience
