Reporting directly to the Capital Manager, the Driver/Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing the maintenance duties to Central Office as required, including the grounds surrounding the buildings. They will also be responsible for delivering medical supplies and other items to the PBCN communities on at least a weekly basis. The Driver/Maintenance Worker is also responsible for the collection and disposing of all garbage in a safe and efficient manner.
Position Overview
- Providing the day to day maintenance to Central office as required.
- Providing a regular schedule for building and equipment maintenance as required.
- Providing yard maintenance around the building, including but not limited to grass cutting, snow shoveling, pickup up garbage and salting/sanding the walkways.
- Making minor repairs to building, including painting, changing light bulbs, fixing locks and changing air filters.
- Informing the Capital Manager immediately of any repairs needed that has the potential of causing injury or harm and make arrangements to rectify these problems in a timely manner.
- Moving furniture, equipment and supplies as required.
- Inspecting the emergency lighting system on a regular basis and develop a schedule for inspecting and maintaining an acceptable supply/level of fire extinguishers.
- Cleaning the exterior windows in conjunction with the janitorial staff.
- Maintaining and cleaning the vehicles including arranging for routine maintenance and for filling with gas and checking the oil levels regularly.
- Pick-up and drop off of supplies.
- Providing duties with due care and diligence.
- Ensuring the safe control of all keys.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
- Satisfactory Drivers Abstract
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Sector Check
- The incumbent must be willing and able to complete the following courses provided by PBCN Health Services:
