Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Medical Records/EMR Support & Data Entry Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of information, organizing, maintaining, and updating of patient electronic records. Medical Records/EMR Support & Data Entry Clerk will input all patient documents and reports upon receipt of information and is responsible for the protection and security of medical records to ensure that patient /client confidentiality is maintained.

Qualifications

• · Grade 12 or equivalent;
• · Preferred – Medical Records Clerk Certificate, Office Education, LPN / RN Student Nurse
•    Basic Medical Terminology certificate would be a strong asset (*or willing to complete MT course)
• · Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills;
• · Self-motivated and able to work independently;
• · Current Satisfactory Criminal Record Clearance & Vulnerable Sector Check;
• · Ability to speak Cree is an asset;
• · Ability to multi-task and experience working with electronic records

Salary: depending on Education & Experience
